HRMI Clothing Giveaway: Supporting the Cibecue Community

3/9/20261 min read

On Sunday, March 8, 2026, Health Restored Ministries International (HRMI) board members Carl Holman and Mike O'Brien along with three volunteers drove to the Cibecue Community on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation to hand out clothes. HRMI organized this event which was aimed at providing apparel to the residents of Cibecue. By offering new and gently used clothing, HRMI aimed to not only meet a basic need but also to enhance the quality of life for community members. This clothing giveaway would not have been possible except for many generous donations from individuals from the following three churches: Paradise Valley SDA Church, The Glendale SDA Church, and the Desert Cove SDA Church which are all located in the greater Phoenix area. This charitable endeavor highlights HRMI's commitment to fostering positive relationships and supporting communities through acts of kindness.

The response from the Cibecue community during the clothing giveaway was overwhelmingly positive. Families who came were eager to come out and receive assistance. The event not only brought tangible benefits through the donation of clothing but also served to strengthen community ties. The volunteers and HRMI board members worked side by side to ensure that the event was a success, fostering a spirit of collaboration and unity.

Additionally, HRMI plans to continue its outreach in the Cibecue area, recognizing that sustainable support is essential for lasting change. The organization is committed to understanding the specific needs of the community and providing resources that will empower individuals and families alike.
