By God's Providence We Got to Visit Feather Mountain!

Discouragement turns into joy!

On April 21, 2025, Michael contacted the listing agent for the Feather Mountain property to learn more about what had already appeared to be a providential discovery. During that conversation, Kevan Larson, the listing agent, shared the rich history of the property along with many important details about its past and current status.

Michael also shared with Kevan who Health Restored Ministries International is and the ministry’s desire to establish a health and wellness center grounded in the biblical eight laws of health. With that vision in mind, Michael asked two important questions. First, was there any prerequisite required in order to view the property? Second, would the owner be open to any form of owner financing?

Kevan’s answers were discouraging. Due to the significant interest in the property, all prospective buyers were required to show proof of funds or secured financing before being allowed to tour the property. In addition, the owner desired a 30-day close and was not interested in owner financing. These conditions placed what seemed to be a firm barrier in front of the ministry.

Michael shared this information with the HRMI board, and together they committed the situation to prayer—asking God to clearly open or close the door if this was truly the property He had in mind.

Four days later, something unexpected happened. Michael missed a call from Kevan—unaware at the time that a voicemail had been left. Three days later, he discovered this message and listened to it. What he heard renewed his hope and strengthened his faith that God might be opening another door.

Kevan explained that he had spoken with the owner and had shared with them who HRMI was and what their plan was if they acquired this property. This conversation deeply resonated with the owner, who had long hoped that the property’s future would not involve subdivision or commercial development. After hearing about the ministry’s vision, she had a change of heart and agreed to allow HRMI to visit and tour the property. Michael was shocked and silently sent a thank you prayer to God.

Michael immediately shared this encouraging development with the board, and plans were set in motion to see Feather Mountain in person.

On Sunday, May 18, all the HRMI board members, along with several invited guests—including pastor Lonnie Melashenko—arrived at the property. What they encountered exceeded expectations. For more than four hours, the group toured the guest lodge, residences, meeting spaces, and grounds, walking the land and prayerfully considering its potential. There was a shared sense of excitement about how such a site could be used for God's glory and the mission of HRMI. As they moved from one building to the next, a single question lingered in everyone’s heart: Was God opening this door? By the end of the visit, it certainly seemed that He was.
