Building Connections at the ASI Convention in Orlando

By God's grace, both Michael Schulze, president, and Dr. Ronelle Holloway, vice president, of Health Restored Ministries International attended the annual ASI Convention in Orlando, Florida from July 31 to August 2.

ASI—short for Adventist-Laymen’s Services and Industries—is a supporting ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church dedicated to equipping lay members to share Christ in the marketplace. Through business, professional influence, and personal witness, ASI encourages practical ministry that advances the gospel in everyday settings. (Learn more at asiministries.org.)

Just a couple of weeks prior to the convention, HRMI had submitted its application to become an ASI member. The ministry views this an important step forward for the ministry by being affiliated with organization.

With renewed optimism, they entered the event prayerfully, asking God for divine appointments—opportunities to connect with individuals who shared a passion for health ministry and who might be open to networking and, ultimately, assisting with the acquisition of the Feather Mountain property.

The pace of the convention was nonstop. Each day was filled with inspiring meetings and plenary sessions, interspersed with fellowship over delicious meals and time walking through the bustling exhibition hall. In the midst of it all, meaningful conversations took place. New friendships were formed, and Michael and Dr. Holloway were able to reconnect with others they had known for some time.

The ASI Convention proved to be a truly blessed experience—one that strengthened vision, encouraged faith, and affirmed the importance of collaboration within God’s work. While no immediate financial commitments were secured, the connections made and the prayers shared were invaluable.

Looking ahead, HRMI is excited about the opportunity to attend the 2026 ASI Convention, which will be held in Phoenix, Arizona, from July 29 through August 1. There is also prayerful consideration of participating as an exhibitor, which would provide an even greater opportunity to share the ministry’s mission of Restoring Wholeness to Humanity.

We continue to move forward in faith, trusting that God is leading, opening doors, and connecting hearts at just the right time.
